Caring Catalog

The Caring Catalog is a 21-day online giving event hosted by the FM Area Foundation helping nonprofits raise funds for specific projects. The foundation covers 100% of the gift processing fees, so every penny of your donation goes to the charity(s) of your choosing. This event runs in November/December. For more information about this event, follow the link: www.areafoundation.org/initiatives/caring-catalog/.

Thank you to everyone who supported this year's project of Feeding & Caring for FM Teens. We cannot wait to update you on how your gifts are being used.

Feeding & Caring for FM Teens

Did you know that every day an average of 1 in 10 kids struggles with hunger? That in the next 24 hours in the US, 2,795 teenage girls will become pregnant. This past School year, Red River Youth for Christ served over 2,000 meals to teens averaging 60+ meals every week.  Woodrow Wilson High School and Red River Alternative Learning Center Staff have told us that for many of these kids, this is the only meal they will eat that day. Your donation will be used to help provide meals, shelter, and resources for teens in need. This is done through finding baby clothes for a teen mom in need, a jacket or shoes for a homeless teen, a hot meal, or even just a place to do laundry. A donation of $100 feeds 50 meals to teens who may not have access to quality food. $50 Can provide a teen parent with formula and diapers for a week. Every dollar counts! At Youth for Christ, part of our mission of “Radically loving and bringing hope to teens” means serving the very real and practical needs of the FM area students we work with. Your generosity assures that kids are not going hungry, are looked after, are celebrated for their accomplishments, and feel valued and loved.
